How do people join my workspace?
An owner or admin invites them by email address and chooses their role. They open the invitation link, sign in with the invited address and accept. If they do not have an account, they choose their own password to create one from the invitation, then sign in and accept. A join code is also available.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. Yonderay runs on Android and in the browser today, and the browser version works on a phone as well as a desktop. A native iOS app is on the list.
Can I use it without creating a workspace?
You do not have to create a workspace yourself: you can join one by invitation or join code. Messaging, teams, rooms, notes and documents all belong to a workspace; there is no separate personal mode.
What happens when we hire someone?
Buy a seat for them, then invite them into it. On a monthly plan, a seat bought mid-month is charged a full month and then renews with the rest on your normal billing date. On an annual plan, it is charged for the rest of that year at the monthly rate, and at the annual rate from your next renewal. Your per-seat rate does not change mid-period: grow past 200 people on Standard and the extra seats are still charged at your Standard rate until you renew. Nobody is ever removed from a workspace because of billing. If you want Yonderay on your own servers, talk to us.
Do I need a card to start?
Yes. The 14-day trial takes a card so nothing stops working the day it ends, but you are not charged until day 15. Cancel before then and you are not billed at all.
What is a room, exactly?
A space where several whole teams talk together. You invite teams rather than people one at a time; the team’s admin accepts and everyone arrives at once. Every message carries the sender’s team name, fixed at the moment they sent it.
Can I make voice or video calls?
Not yet. You can record a voice message up to five minutes long, pause and resume while recording, and listen back before you send it. Live calls are not in the product today.
Does it work without a connection?
On Android, conversations cached on your device stay readable offline, and queued messages send when you reconnect. The browser version needs a connection to load conversations and save notes.
Is what we write actually private?
On Standard and Scale, we host your workspace. Message text and note content are AES-256 encrypted at rest. Access to workspace content is checked on the server. If your organization needs its data on its own servers, the Self-hosted plan runs Yonderay on your own infrastructure.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Follow the account-deletion instructions to request deletion by email. We verify the request before processing it; the Privacy Policy explains what information may need to be retained.
